JSENSE

Helpline and Advocacy

This is a free, confidential helpline for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND (up to the age of 25, whilst in full time education), offering initial advice, guidance, signposting and advocacy by trained, supervised support workers.

Helpline and Advocacy

Following the initial call, a  Support Worker, from the JSENSE Helpline, will contact you.  You will be offered an opportunity to discuss the issues you wish to share and the questions you may want to ask.  They will endeavour to suggest the best next steps to  signpost you to the most appropriate services.  If additional support is required, the Helpline Support Worker will refer your call to the JSENSE Advocacy coordinator who will work with you to resolve the issue.

All our Helpline/Advocate Support Workers are highly experienced and are supported by professional supervision.

You can call the Helpline anytime 0161 850 3330 and if it is not answered personally the calls are directed to an answering machine that is regularly monitored.
