JSENSE primarily works with the Jewish community in the Greater Manchester area promoting a holistic approach, working with parents and carers as well as educational providers. We enable parents and carers to be more empowered and confident to support their child or young person and to develop good relationships with local schools.
JSENSE works in both state and independent schools, to promote educational attainment, social and emotional development for Jewish children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
We aim to prevent isolation, improve self-esteem and community integration of Jewish children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We aim to help develop the skills of all staff in Jewish Schools and nurseries by providing specially adapted training and consultancy services to suit Jewish cultural and religious requirements of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We also provide support services, educational meetings and social networks for children and young people with SEND and their parents and carers.
If you would like hard copies sending out please contact us by emailing services@jsense.org.uk
All children have a right to protection, and the needs of children and adults with SEND who may be particularly vulnerable must be taken into account. JSENSE aims to ensure the safety and protection of all children/vulnerable adults involved with the organisation through adherence to the Safeguarding guidelines.
